Update on My Friend's Daughter

Just wanted to thank you for your prayers for my friend's daughter who had heart surgery this week. She is doing absolutely great!!

She spent only one night in ICU before being moved to a regular room. She had her chest tube taken out yesterday, and started walking the halls. God has certainly touched her in a miraculous way.

Back at the home front, I'm pricing all my clutter for a garage sale tomorrow. I sure will be glad when this over.

I also bought "For Sale by Owner" signs that will go into the ground tomorrow afternoon!! I'm so excited. My daughter is not. She's asking not to move because this house is special to her. I told her that I know moving is scary-especially since we don't have a house in mind-but if we always stayed where we are, we would never grow. I'm not sure that line of reasoning is helping, but I hold her, she dries her tears and we move on. I also tell her that our house isn't sold yet, so she still has at least another month here.

Well, friends, until next week.....

So glad she's doing well after the surgery :)

Good luck on the garage sale. I really hate doing them and have been just taking stuff to Goodwill lately. We've made decent money in the past, but they are so much work (and it's SO hot this time of year!). Hope the house stuff goes well, hang in there :)

Yay! About your friends daughter. Will keep praying.

We've moved a lot. And after a few times I came to realize home is the people inside your heart. My boys, however, like it in this little box and don't want to move either. I've tried to show them benefits, but like you said, it may be harder not having a real place in mind.

(())s to both of you.

Great news about your friend's daughter!

Speaking of your friend... where are Mandalyn and Jenna? Tell them I say hello and I miss them, k?

Hope the garage sale is successful and you get rid of all the clutter. I love moving and changes, Matt... not so much. He doesn't want to move because this house is special to him. Maybe I need to let you have a talk with him ;).

Change is always hard. Hope your garage sale went good! I have quit doing them b/c I don't usually get help from anyone around here!
And glad your friend's daughter is doing better.
